The Amazing 2013 Tulip Parade in Holland

Come one, Come ALL....it's the much anticipated Photos & recap from the 2013 Tulip Parade in Noordwijk, Holland!!!!! After a serious game of  " now where did I put that memory card" we FINALLY found it!  Of course it was in the camera bag that I rarely chose to use in the pocket for FULL MEMORY CARDS! Ha, Ha, Ha..

Fun Facts!!

 Did you know that the Keukenhof Tulip Parade it is strictly put on by the city on DONATIONS????? Are you as shocked as we were when we heard the mayor announce it at the opening?  Certainly made the parade even that more impressive!   

Locals consider this parade one of the best small town events in the country!

At the parade they hand out newspapers that give a full description and picture of EVERY single float, who created it & the name of the float.  We snagged a few, one for a souvenior and the other 2 we used & decoupaged a piece of furniture that will go along with all the "treasures" we have purchased in Holland while living abroad.  

The parade generally starts around 930am, so get their early, because the floats will be lined up on display for you to score the ULTIMATE upclose pictures!!! Parking is pretty easy, we just plugged in Noordwijk, Holland and went to the city the first parking spaces we saw we parked and walked towards the ocean.  There are tons of parade employees that you can ask to guide you in the direction of the parade as well.  We wanted to be at the start of the parade so chose to walk the 10minutes.  Totally worth it!  The beach alone is breath taking!!!!
